Lunar New Year at Blizzard Campus

On February 19th, LA's 33 Strings had the honor of joining the Lunar New Year Blizzard Campus celebrations. We performed some classic Lunar New Year songs such as "Jasmine" along with Blizzard's own music from their games; such as Overwatch, World of Warcraft, etc.

Truly a new and great experience for our group!

🤩 Member Highlights 🤩

Peggy Lian

Peggy Lian joined LA’s 33 strings in July 2025. She went to California Institute of the Arts and studied graphic design. She designed some of the graphics for the ensemble. She started playing koto during her second year in college by taking a Japanese Ensemble class taught by Kozue.

Peggy is now a multidisciplinary designer. Her work ranges from web design, application interface design to print materials like posters, fliers and illustrations. Her goal is to use design as a tool to facilitate the exchange of information, making information more accessible for everyone. She really enjoys how playing koto had led to more design inspiration in her personal practice and will continue to explore more in the intersection of music and design.
